Client Background

NTT DATA Business Solutions is trusted global SAP partner with their US subsidiary based in Blue Ash, Ohio.  We were contracted by their Human Resources leadership team to automate manual reporting and perform data analysis.

Challenges they faced

In this competitive talent environment, NDBS sought to understand common themes around what drives employee retention and attrition, and what can be gleaned from recruiting sources and practices.  This was all in the spirit to continue to attract and retain top talent and ensure they were staying ahead of the talent curve.

Enter N Solutions:

We kicked things off with a blank whiteboard and brainstorming session with the HR Leadership team.  We asked, “What do you want to know?” and about 2 hours later we filled the whiteboard and had the blueprint for what data we needed to gather and analyze. After quickly learning their systems and processes, we delivered:

  1. Custom, integrated dashboard which delivers both existing and new metrics about the overall workforce.
  2. Retention, Attrition, and Recruiting insights along with actionable next steps.
  3. Tactical process improvements to data capturing practices leading to cleaner and more accurate data.

With our ability to be nimble and relatively self-sufficient, we were able to get acclimated to their data sets, including HRIS, and start ingesting the various attributes we needed.  We met with key stakeholders to validate what we were seeing and quickly made edits as required.  Within a few weeks, we automated their existing manual reporting and then spent the next several weeks analyzing the various items from our brainstorming session
